Bereavement Announcements

A special note from owner, Ellen Gillespie:
Pregnancy and infant loss, as well as the loss of a child, is something very near and dear to my heart. Having lost 2 babies in 2002, I know firsthand the tragedy of losing a precious one before they had the chance to grow up. It is immediately a sad and lonely loss, but at the same time, it is the loss of a future together with them on this earth.
I have always received great comfort from the Bible verse in Mark listed above. When I grieve for lost lives, I close my eyes and picture Jesus openingHis arms to welcome them home. Home to a place where they will never feel pain like we do here. My grief is not for the child who has gone before us, but for those who they have left behind.
You see, I believe that by His grace, and that alone, God has promised us eternal life with Him in Heaven if we will only accept the gift He gave us when His Son died on the cross as our sacrifice. My heart is heaviest for those the child has left behind who do not choose to receive His gift. My prayer is that if you are reading this, you would make the decision to accept Jesus into your life and choose to walk with him daily. There is so much in this life that I do not understand and never will, but I hold firmly to the one thing I know..."But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8. I long to understand why someone must endure the loss of a child, but I firmly do not believe that God causes these losses. I firmly believe he comforts us when we must endure the consequences of living in a fallen world where sin reigns and spiritual warfare surrounds us.
I believe when I finally do get to my true home, my 2 babies will be standing behind God waiting to meet me. I pray that I will hear those sweet words, "Well done, good and faithful servant..." (Matthew 25:21). It is with that hope that I began feeling led to use the talents God has blessed me with to not only further His kingdom on earth, but also provide a little bit of comfort to those who are experiencing the loss of a child. I have had the unbelievable privilege of working with parents who have lost a child at various ages to create an announcement or thank you note that they can send out in honor of the life they will miss, some with photos, some without.
If you are going through a season of grief and would like for us to help you, please contact us for information on our bereavement cards. We have compiled several verses and sayings and layouts. We understand the emotional and often financial constraints your loss can put you through, so we are able to work with you on whatever your needs may be. We prefer to work with you individually, so shown below are a few we have done in the past. Please also feel free to browse the flat photocard birth announcement section, the notecard section, and the photocard section.
